Volunteer Program
To provide various adoption, fundraising, and other charity events, we have created a volunteer program. Individuals within the community can apply to become a volunteer. Volunteering means selflessly giving your time to the animals in foster care and the community. It also means living by the Isle of Wight County Humane Society's mission and values.
The volunteer program consists of the below three steps and qualifications:

Application Review
Our Board Members will review
your application and contact you via the information you provide.
Step Three
Get Connected
You will be assigned a volunteer
mentor that will assist you
while Onboarding.

Qualifications
Before you begin the volunteer program application, please make sure you meet the following qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older

Must live in the Hampton Roads Region

Must be able to attend adoption, fundraising, and community events

No felony convictions of any kind, or misdemeanors related to animal cruelty, drugs, theft, or violence
